Jaguar has announced the arrival of its new 3.0-litre Diesel 2010 XF at its importer partner in Tunisia, Alpha Group. Offering a marked improvement in performance, CO2 and fuel economy over the 2.7-litre engine it replaces, the vehicle is an irresistible choice for customers and is true to Jaguar’s philosophy of creating beautiful, fast cars.
The 2010 Model Year Jaguar XF is available in two versions of the 3.0-litre AJ-V6D Gen III diesel engine – a 240PS engine, simply named the XF Diesel and a 275PS engine known as the XF Diesel S.
The XF Diesel S is a stunning new high-performance diesel distinguished by 19 inch wheels, an aerodynamic boot lid spoiler and discreet ''''S'''' badging. Charged by a 275PS engine, it increases power by 33 percent giving outstanding levels of performance and 600Nm torque; accelerating from 0-100Kph in just 6.4 seconds - 1.8 seconds quicker than the 2.7-litre model it supersedes.
The 3.0-litre AJ-V6D Gen III diesel XF, with an equally impressive 240PS engine produces 16 percent more power with 500Nm torque allowing the XF to reach 0-100kph in 7.1 seconds.
Both these new 3.0-litre diesel engines produce 10 percent less CO2 than the 2.7-litre with better fuel consumption.
M. Moncef Klibi, General Manager, Alpha Group, Tunisia, said, “True to the Jaguar philosophy of creating beautiful, fast cars, engineering excellence and attention to detail, the 2010 diesel XF adds a new dimension to the brand and creates the best-in-class driving experience and luxury. We are certain that our customers in Tunisia will appreciate the beauty, style and exhilarating performance the car offers”.
“The Jaguar XF has received a great response from customers since its launch in 2008 and we are confident the all-new diesel XF will continue to build on this success in Tunisia,” added Robin Colgan, Managing Director, Jaguar Land Rover Middle East and N. Africa.
The XF has already collected a sizeable number of global accolades since its launch; including ''''Best Executive Car'''' for the second year running at the What Diesel magazine Awards 2009, and most recently the ‘Saloon Car of the Year’ award for the Jaguar XF Diesel S and the inaugural ‘Women’s World Car of the Year’ 2009 at the Top Gear awards. These honors are recognition of a car that combines innovation with leading edge design.

There are also significant trim and specification changes – including many new features – and the introduction of a new luxurious Portfolio derivative as part of the core range. For Jaguar and the new 2010 Model Year XF, the high-performance diesel has truly arrived.
