Tunisair will suspend flights to Belgrade

Tunisair will suspend its services to the Serbian capital from October 30 reported the 'Balkan Busines News' today.

Tunisair operated two weekly flights from Tunis to Belgrade and an additional two weekly service from Enfidha to the Serbian capital over the summer.

In the past, during the winter season, the airline has maintained flights from Tunis to Belgrade. The route has been hit by poor passenger numbers following the political turmoil in Tunisia and the war in neighbouring Libya. Last winter, when political problems surfaced in Tunisia, the airline was forced to combine its Vienna and Belgrade flights.

Tunisia, one of the most popular holiday destinations for Serbian tourists during both summer and winter, until recently enjoyed numerous weekly flights from Belgrade. Last year, in addition to flights from Tunisair and Jat Airways, many charters were operated to the country and Tunisian airline, Nouvel air, also operated scheduled flights. Air services to Tunisia this winter will be maintained by a one weekly Jat Airways flight to Monastir.

Toute compagnie aérienne a le droit de suspendre les lignes non rentables pour se renforcer sur d'autres lignes.
